EYE CAMP IN KOTLI SATTIAN

In addition to the annual eye camp, we will be carrying out an eye camp on 25th and 26th March in the vicinity of Kotli Sattian, which is located 30km north east of Islamabad.  Kotli Sattian is a large village town surrounded by many small villages in remote locations. Our founder Mohammed Younis assisted by Advocate Raja Nabil Ahmed Satti, who originates from the area will be organising the camp. The aim of the camp will be to treat the poor and elderly residents with eye ailments and to perform cataract surgery where possible. The Alma Hospital was approached by the people of Kotli Sattian to hold an eye camp which is being funded through the wonderful support and generosity of Sadia & Shokat Khan from the UK.

Kingdom of the Blind

The Alma Hospital Trust is supporting a campaign for a very special documentary film project about the people treated by the Alma Bi Hospital. Directed by one of our trustees, David Todman, this venture could be vital in raising the profile of the charity, securing its long term future and also creating a fascinating piece of social history about the rural poor in Pakistan. If you would like to pledge your support to a great cause, please visit the campaign fundraising page:
