Our First Natural Twins!
On Monday 9th May The Alma Bi Hospital proudly delivered its first set of twins by natural birth. This event was made even more special by the fact that the expectant mother was turned away from another hospital after being told that one of her babies was dead in the womb.
Heartbroken, the woman arrived at our hospital and was treated to the best care we can provide, giving birth several hours later. She asked not to see the dead child but was ecstatic when our midwife presented her with two healthy boys!
The hospital now delivers, on average, 10 babies per day - providing each of its mothers with western standards of treatment and care. This has had a dramatic impact on the local infant mortality rate.
